Most of us view conflict as negative, a perception that has a profound impact on how we manage it as individuals and organizations. The Aiki approach presents new ways to deal with conflict and direct its energy.
In this interactive and innovative program, we will use principles and techniques from Aikido, the Japanese art of reconciliation, and immerse ourselves in the educational experience. We will meet in a traditional Aikido "dojo" (place of practice), learn how to blend with an attack – both physically and verbally – and practice applying what we learn to everyday conflict.
Purpose: To provide perspective, tools, and training in self-management and conflict transformation.
Objectives:
Learn to direct the energy of conflict instead of reacting to it. And begin to find the hidden gifts in your daily conflicts.
Comments from past participants:
"It's rare that a training impacts me to this degree. I have gained useful, concrete skills in getting my emotions to work for me!"
"This presentation was the best approach to conflict that I have ever experienced."
"Wonderful concepts and demonstrations!"
